Breaking: Market Women, MMDCEs, And Party Executives All Pay For Wontumi's Filing Fees

A few weeks before the regional executive elections, the ruling New Patriotic Party's (NPPAshanti )'s Regional Chairman, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has earned widespread support from both within and beyond the party.

Representatives from the party's numerous organizations, including constituency executives, polling stations, MMDCEs, and market women, have thrown their support behind the Ashanti Regional Chairman, characterizing him as the ideal choice to head the party in the region for the key elections in 2024.

In expressing their support for Chairman Wontumi, the group also paid the Regional Elections Committee for his nominations and filing fees.

Chairman Wontumi, according to the group, has an exceptional track record, having led the NPP to two consecutive triumphs in the Ashanti Region, and hence must be preserved.

They suggested that the 2024 elections will be vital, and that the NPP's regional leadership will require someone with extensive experience in dealing with the party's primary opponents, the NDC.

Mr. Aikins Addai-Poku, the Bosomtwe Constituency Chairman, declared on behalf of the group that the group has consented to pick nomination papers on Chairman Wontumi's behalf and cover all costs because they believe he is the ideal person to lead the NPP at this critical time.

"He's done it twice before, and we feel he can do it again. We've listened to market ladies, polling station executives, MMDCEs, and even people without a position in the party, and they've all expressed a desire for Chairman Wontumi to remain in office, and we're here to carry out their requests "He added.
