The police have arrested Nkwanta South Constituency Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prosper Akamani for suspectedly stabbing and seriously wounded two NPP sympathizers.

Frank Aketai and other one who is unnamed are the victims of such unfortunate incident. It was reported that these two NPP sympathizers were jubilating in the presence of Prosper Akamani after the chairperson of the electoral commission, Mrs. Jean Mensah declared the presidential result which was in favor of the New Patriotic Party.
These two injured were immediately rushed into the Nkwanta Municipal Hospital to be given a medical attention. The report indicates that one of these two Frank Aketai has gone unconscious whereas the other was treatment and discharged the same day.

Following this criminal act the NPP Constituency Executives reported the incident and was arrested by the District Police. Prosper Akamani is currently at the police custody preparing to face the law court.
