The managing editor for insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has stated on peace FM morning show today that the government should solve the problem facing the country and stop doing comparison between themselves and the previous government.
The infamous journalist speaking on the show stated that the government should "respect" the people of Ghana a little bit because the power outages (Dumsor) issues that they are trying to compare with other past government is a bad idea, and Ghanaians are not ready to listen to that.
The New Patriotic party folks are trying to state that the power outages in the country now is better than some years ago because their administration has managed the situation very well than the previous government which was led by former President, John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party.
According to them, Ghanaians has enjoyed four years continuous power at the energy sector and Ghanaian should praised them for their good management during the past four years in government.
The veteran journalist speaking said they should stop making such comparison because the problem at hand now is not about NDC and NPP issue but rather how to solve the problem for Ghanaians to have better comfort.
He stated that Dumsor is causing a lot of problem and he can testify that today before coming to the studios of peace FM, he saw some companies using generators to produce power which may involve a lot of cost to buy fuel and it is not good.
According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, he had an interviewed with expert from the energy sector who have disclosed to him that, if care is not taken at the energy sector before 2024, Ghana's debt will balloon to 24 billion dollars but the expert said by September this year, they will solve the power crisis in Accra.
Kwesi Pratt Jnr said the expert told him in an interview he had with him that generation of power is not the problem but distribution of the power is the major problem for them and the dept at the energy sector too.
" We don't want any history about Dumsor. Solve the problem and stop the comparison. NDC is not the problem, CPP is not the problem, and no any political party is the problem but Ghanaians are saying that NPP is in power so they must solve the problem and let the country use the electricity to develop. What is this comparison for? They should respect us small because the power outages is causing a lot of damages in the country which people can't tell you. Solve the problem and stop the comparison" he said.
