Ken Ofori-Atta Must Decide On His Own To Resign, According To Kwadwo Mpiani

A former member of the Kufuor administration's chief of staff has demanded the resignation of a few ministers.

Kwadwo Mpiani is adamant that the Finance Minister's comments before the government decided to seek the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) assistance render him unfit to continue in the position.

Speaking on JoyNews, Mr Mpiani expressed his concern over the performance of some Ministers while maintaining that the President alone has the authority to reshuffle the Cabinet.

"Honestly, based on what I said and what has since happened, if I were the finance minister, I would just go and say, "Mr President, thank you so much. I believe it would be best for me to take a back seat and let someone else lead. However, he added, "I am not going to advise any President to remove the Finance Minister or any other Minister that should be left to the President.

Mr Mpiani stated that if given the chance to counsel the President, he would urge him to remove some ineffective Ministers due to their subpar work.

"If you ask Ghanaians, I think they'll be able to tell you that this Minister A or Minister B needs to go because we don't think they're very effective. Therefore, it worries me and I think it needs to be done, but the President has the final say," he continued. Which will
