Popular and Investigative Journalist, Mannaseh Azure Awuni has advised NPP electorates to elect leaders who will restore sanity back to the party and not those who need the party positions to engage in their private business activities.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, 16th July 2022, he wrote;
"NPP, elect leaders who can bring sanity back to your party, not those who need the positions for their private businesses."
The comments of Mannaseh Azure comes as a background to the ongoing NPP national elections.
This Saturday 16th July 2022, nearly 7,000 New Patriotic Party delegates will gather at the Accra Sports Stadium to elect 10 National Officers from a list of 45 candidates to fill ten slots, including National Chairman, 3 Vice Chairpersons, General Secretary, National Organiser and Treasurer.
Many people has reacted to Mannaseh Azure's post.
Some people advised Mannaseh to tell his NDC members to do so.
"You don't still seem to understand the crop of people npp is made of. The delegates are not only the source of corruption but the very fuel of corruption. They make outrageous demands of the contestants forcing them to steal to meet their demands." A user wrote.
