Electoral Commission To Conduct A Two- Day Pilot Registration Exercise

The Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations at the EC, Mr Samuel Tettey in a statement, have established that , the Electoral Commission will conduct piloting of the new Voters Register in the various regional Offices.

The Electoral Commission is expected to conduct a two-day pilot registration exercise beginning beginning on 2 June 2020 to 3rd June 2020.

This piloting exercise will be done at all its regional offices to test the BVR kits, assess the protocols putting place and among others.

The national piloting exercise date is expected to be announce its commencement date at the head office in Accra.

Various representatives of political parties are expected to be in attendance to observe the processes.

According Mr Tettey, there would be briefings on rules and regulations regarding the registration exercise and enforcement of measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19.

The Electoral Commission is expected to leave no stone unturned to make sure there is a successful registration exercise and to conduct a peaceful, transparent, free and fair elections on December 7, 2020.
