Love and Best Wishes are already pouring for Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament who turns 64 years today. To commemorate this day, the man who succeeded him as MP for Nadowli/Kaleo is organising a blood donation exercise today to restock the blood bank of the Nadowli and other hospitals in the Upper West Region.
“In honor of the 64th birthday of the right Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, a blood donation exercise is being organised to restock the blood bank at the Nadowli Hospital and other hospitals in the Upper West Region,” Hon. Sumah Anthony wrote on Facebook.
Among those who have already sent their best wishes is the parliament of Ghana, Some members of Parliament as well as the Upper West parliamentary Caucus. In a short video [https://www.facebook.com/FanpageofASKBagbin/videos/622587462076901/], caucus leader, Rashid Pelpuo, asked for God’s guidance for the speaker and urged him to continue to be great in his service to Ghana as the leader of Parliament. Some other members of Parliament and media houses have also sent their best wishes to Hon. Bagbin, praying that his 64th anniversary becomes memorable and that God will bless him with more wisdom to continue to serve.
Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin was born on September 24, 1957 at Sombo in the Upper West Region. He rose to become one of Ghana’s finest and longest serving member of parliament after he was first elected into parliament in 1992. He also held leadership positions in Parliament, ministerial portfolios before being elected Speaker of Parliament in January this year.
