It seems the presidential primaries contest between the two top contenders of the New Patriotic Party has risen to a fearsome crescendo and massive mobilization and bussing of supporters are ongoing to attract more sympathy.
Party members belonging to both camps have in recent times stepped up their campaigns and it is interesting to know that people are bussed to campaign grounds to inflate the numbers.
John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng holds the ministerial position for trade and industry and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is the vice president who also doubles as the head of the economic management team. They both hold key portfolios in this administration and eyeing the highest office in the land.
However, a hurdle must be surmounted and that is winning the intra-party elections which will be held in the coming months. A video that has surfaced online shows diehard supporters of Alan who have been bussed from Accra to Kumasi.
Sadly, some were complaining bitterly of neglect and not being catered for properly by the organizers due to issues best known to them. It is just unusual to see loyal members belonging to a certain camp expressing their frustration. The lady who spoke indicated that just Ghc50 was given to her after all her toils and that is painful.
