List Of NPP And NDC MPs Who May Not Step A Foot In Parliament Again After 2024 Elections

Many Ghanaians may believe that the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections are a long way off, but the truth is that the elections are only two (2) years away.

This brings into my thoughts some of the Members of Parliament (MP) from both the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), who might in one way or the other not be seen in parliament after the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary polls.

it may even be that the Speaker of Ghana's Parliament who is in the shape of Honourable Alban Bagbin might not nake it in his second term as speaker of the August house.

The absence of these members of Parliament from both factions of the house might as a result of retirement from active politics, a break or personal reasons following their departure.

In my candid opinion the list goes on:

Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu

Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu is said to retire from contesting as MP.

This comes after he received huge criticism in the wake of the 2020 Presidential Primaries in the Suame Constituency on the Ashanti Region. It could be recalled that the youth in the constituency organised a demonstration against his position. Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu remains one of the long-serving Members of Ghana's Parliament.

Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong

Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong remains the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Honourable Alban Bagbin

Former Member of Parliament (MP) the Nadowli West constituency in Ghana's Upper West Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Honourable Alban Sumana Bagbin now acts as the Speaker of Ghana's Parliament.

Since working as the Speaker of Parliament, the former NDC MP might not be seen at the floor of parliament after a fresh election,.
