Vice President Dr. Mahamdu Bawumia started his working tour of the Upper West Region yesterday with visits to Tumu, Sorbelle, Gwolu, Lawra, Jirapa, and Douri in the Sissala East and West Districts, Lawra District, and Jirapa Municipal respectively.
As part of the visit, he paid courtesy calls on the Tumu Kouro and the Lawra Naa to brief them and their Traditional Councils about the state of Government projects in their respective communities, listen to their concerns and reassure them of the government's commitment to meeting the development needs of the people.

At Douri, it was nostalgic as he visited the home and family of a father, the selfless S. D. Dombo. The Chief of Duori (Son of Chief S. D. Dombo), on behalf of the Dombo family, enskinned me a Naa Lewa (Meaning the chief has come back).
He thank the Dombo family and the Chief of Douri for the honor done me, and also for urging him to continue to be guided by the remarkable traits of a father and other stalwarts of our great party.
