The New Patriotic Party's internal elections started yesterday, the 27th of May, 2022. This is however aimed at selecting news executive members or re-electing members from the party by some electorates. Subsequently, today, the 28th of May, 2022, saw the Greater Accra Region and Ashanti Region's turn of electing or re-electing new executive members.
In the light of this, during the electoral process, an unknown man was spotted at the Babayara sports stadium with a bottle of alcohol. The man was seen pouring the bottle of alcohol on to the ground. According to several reports, the man's aim was to invoke a deity to curse anyone who votes for Bernard Antwi-Bosiako, popularly known as chairman Wontumi. The man's action sparked massive stir among Ghanaians who witnessed the incident
Was it right for the man to do that?
