The Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Honorable Afenyo Markin has sent a message to the media houses especially Joy News for making a false statement about him.
Speaking in Parliament this afternoon, the MP who doubles as the deputy majority leader revealed that he never made any statement which states that Ghanaians must pay the E-levy before Ghanaians in Ukraine would be evacuated.
He believes that his message in Parliament was misunderstood by Joy News. He is therefore calling on the speaker of Parliament to deal with the media house. He also added that the media house has refused to delete such reportage from their social media handle despite. He also revealed that he has received series of threat after making such statement.

This comes after it was alleged that Afenyo Markin made it clear in Parliament that Ghanaians must accept and pay the E-levy before stranded Ghanaians in Ukraine could be retrieved.
