Honourable Alban Sumani Gbabin, the speaker of the eighth parliament has come out on his social media page to state clearly his stands on the laws.
He says, he will always prevent the government from frustrating parliament in its lawful duty. This statement was made today after an action had been taken to reject the 2022 budget yesterday.
"As a speaker, I will do my best to always prevent the government from disturbing parliament". He stated.
According to the Honourable speaker, the parliament has not had a majority party in the eighth parliament. It is the independent candidate who has decided to do business with the NPP. So their absence cannot stop the parliament from working.
In his post, he said that government cannot obstruct parliament in carrying out its duty which is lawfully acceptable.
As you can see in the screenshot above, he said it all in his page on social media.
