The Jomoro Municipal Assembly will now have and witness a different trend in leadership. The one of the two Municipalities on the Nzema lands might get the opportunity to have the first woman as the Municipal Chief Executive, because for the first time a woman has been appointed or nominated by the President to be approved by the members of the assembly in the district.
The Jomoro municipal assembly since 1988 when it was created from the Nzema District council has never been ruled by a female politician nor any Female being appointed. This is for a fact a history and the women in the district will now jubilate and give thanks to God and the President for allowing this to happen.
But who is this female politician that has been appointed? The President, his Excellency President Nana Akufo Addo appointed Mrs Louisa Iris Arde as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Jomoro municipal assembly.
The appointed Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs Louisa Iris Arde is the current Communication Officer for the New Patriotic Party in the Jomoro Constituency. She can be said to be a very strong and hard working politician who has been there for the ruling party.
She was part of the four party members that summited their nomination forms to be considered as the MCE.
The four persons are Ms Louisa Iris Arde, Jomoro NPP Constituency Communications Director from Ndumsuazo, Ms Vida Nvida, a staunch NPP member from Half Assini, Mr Francis Adjei, former Jomoro NPP Constituency Secretary from Half Assini and Mr Emmanuel Amihere, Jomoro NPP Researcher and Director of Elections at Tikobo No.2.
