The running mate for the flag bearer of the largest opposition party ,National Democratic Congress, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as part of her tour to the regions across the country began a two day tour in the Bono Region
During the tour the former education minister paid courtesy call on traditional leaders and religious leaders before interacting with other groups of individuals in the region.
A very staunch member of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Akwasi Banahene was murdered on Friday and the family are still mourning. Mr Akwasi Banahene who was noted to be one of the active members of the National Democratic Congress was a businessman.
Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang joined the family of Mr Akwasi Banahene to commiserate with them.
She also bemoaned the state of insecurity in the country and ordered the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
Sharing some photos on her Facebook page, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang wrote;
This morning, I was in #Mim to commiserate with the family of Mr. Akwasi Banahene, a businessman and staunch member of our party who was murdered last Friday. The state of insecurity in our country is getting out of hand, and the perpetrators of this cruel act must be brought to justice. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, and may his soul Rest In Peace.
