John Mahama is crying like a baby, Kelvin Taylor

Saturday, 16th October 2021

Former President John Dramani Mahama is embarking on a tour across the country to thank Ghanaians for voting for him and the NDC in the last presidential and parliamentary elections. Even though his 6.3m votes fell short of the winning mark, the NDC secured almost half of the seats in parliament. This is the reason why the former leader of the nation is thanking Ghanaians.

When he went to the Western region on this week, Mr. Mahama told the chiefs and people that the 2020 elections were rigged by the NPP and the EC. He said after the elections were done, a group of vigilantes found over a million thumb printed original ballots dumped in the bush all of which were thumbprinted in favour of the NPP.

He made this comment during a live redio interview in Takoradi. Mr. Mahama also chastised the EC chairperson for refusing to mount the witness box to testify during the election petition. He said she knew she didn't do a good job that is why she refused to testify in open court. He also took a swipe at the supreme court judges for unanimously dismissing his petition.

But Mr. Kelvin Taylor, a US based Ghanaian journalist has likened Mr. Mahama's constant criticism on the EC and the supreme court judges to a crying baby. He wondered why the NDC flagbearer will cry with the people after the party was cheated in 2020. According to him, instead of Mahama crying with the people, he should chanel his energy into consoling and energising them.

"If you go to war and you are defeated, it is the duty of the leader to console the remaining battalion and give them hope. You don't cry with the people as a leader. So this is what you should be doing Mr. Mahama. Speak strongly to the Government. Let the NPP and the EC know that you won't take any mistakes in the future. When you mentioned do or die, did you see the kind of energy it sent to the grassroots? This is what you should be doing", Kelvin stated on his 'With All Due Respect" on Loudsilence TV last night monitored by CitizenOne.

Kelvin stated that most of the chiefs Mr. Mahama had been meeting are against him but will not tell him in the face. He advised him to not to attack Ghanaians generally but must be specific in his references.
