See how much was spent on political ads on Facebook

The 2020 presidential and parliamentary election has been a would be one of the keenest contests I have witnessed. Political parties used different platforms to give their political ideas to the citizenry with the hope of convincing them to vote for their parties. The most common platforms were the mass media ( radios and televisions) and the social media ( Facebook, Instagram, twitter etc). Facebook was the most common social media platforms the was used to deliver the campaign message. Let's look at how much each political party spent on Facebook ads during their campaign.

NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY (NPP)

The new patriotic party spent a total amount of USD 81,796.00 on Facebook ads. This is actually a huge sum of money for the ordinary Ghanaian. They placed second on the amount of money spent on Facebook ads.

National Democratic Congress NDC

The National Democratic Congress also spent a whooping USD 130,960.00 on Facebook ads. It's infact the biggest amount spent. 

Convention People's Party

The CPP also spent an amount of USD 2,076.00 on Facebook ads in this year's campaign.

The other political parties collectively spent an amount of USD 994.00 in this year's campaign
