6 Key Achievements From Minority's Resistance Of The Budget Worth Commending

The member of parliament for North Tongu Constituency honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has listed six key achievements of the National Democratic Congress caucus resistance to the 2022 budget.

The finance minister submitted the budget to parliament for review and acceptance but the caucus from the Minority side had vehemently opposed the budget and called for its rejection.

Here are some key achievements from the Minority's resistance of the 2022 Budget so far:

1. The neglect of tidal wave victims addressed as Government finally commits to phase two of Blekusu Coastal Protection Project.

2. The notorious Agyapa deal abandoned

3) No more automatic adjustments of Fees and Charges which covers more than 2,000 items;

4) Benchmarks reviewed;

5) Aker deal amended;

6) Government finally agrees to shift position on 1.75% E-Levy — negotiations continue on this.

The NDC caucus in Parliament has revealed that they give this struggle their all in all, in the supreme interest of the Ghanaian people who sent them to Parliament. "We will continue to count on your support, trust, confidence and prayers"
