Pollster Predicts Victory For Deputy Chief Of Staff In Damongo Parliamentary Race

Renowned Pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch News Paper, Ben Ephson has predicted a win for deputy Chief of staff at the Presidentcy, Lawyer Abu Jinapor in the Damongo Parliamentary contest.

The deputy Chief of staff is challenging the current NDC Member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency, Hon. Adam Mutawakilu to go to Parliament.

Many Political watchers have predicted a keenly competitive contest between the two considering the voting pattern dynamics in the Constituency.

But speaking on TV3's Election 360 this morning, the renowned election pollster predicted that, he sees the deputy Chief of Staff defeating the current NDC MP, in the December elections.

According to Mr. Ephson, this is because, there is an Independent candidate in the Constituency who is likely to take majority of the NDC votes in the Constituency which will give Lawyer Abu Jinapor an upper hand in the race.

Interestingly, the Damongo Constituency has always voted for the NDC in both Presidential and parliamentary elections since 1992, and it will be surprising if the Deputy Chief of staff is able to break the monopoly of the NDC in the Constituency.
