Hajia Mariama aka Maame lived 81 good years on earth. She was born on 15th September 1939. It was left with two for her to celebrate her 82nd birthday anniversary
She was a Kpasenkpe native. She attended Wesley Girls Senior High School in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana. She was one of the northern girls to have obtained admission there. She would be buried on 14th September 2021 in Walewale.
The First Lady, Rebecca Akuffo Addo has sent condolences to Dr Bawumia. Former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama sympathises by saying "May Allah give her long and peaceful rest".
