The lead counsel of the former president John Dramani Mahama was particularly very thankful to Mr Peter Mac Manu for helping him bring clarity to an issue which has become a center of controversy in the elections petition.
When Mr Kpessah White mounted the witness box,he explained issues that led to the two representatives of the petitioner to leave the strong room of the electoral commission to the resistance of the former president John Dramani Mahama.
According to the second witness of the petitioner, the chairperson of the electoral commission deceived them to leave the strong room and have a brief meeting with the former president John Dramani Mahama on an issue which had become a source of controversy in the strong room of the commission.
He added that,as soon as he left to the former president's residence with his colleague Mr Rojo Mettle Nunoo, the chairperson of the commission went ahead to declare the results.
But the counsel for the first respondent Mr Amenuvor insisted that they left the room of the commission when they realised their candidate had lost the elections.
He further put it to Mr Kpessah white that ,they left the strong room with all their materials of which the second witness to the petitioner disagreed.
To cut all arguments,a reference was made to a video which Mr Mac Manu granted on metro television good evening Ghana to the effect that, the representatives of the NDC left the strong room of the commission leaving their materials behind.
This is in sharp contrast to what the lead counsel of the first respondent was trying to portray.
This to Mr Tsatsu Tsikata has brought finality to that argument and was particularly thankful to Mr Mac Manu for making their arguments easier..
