Kojo Bonsu: "If you can manage Kumasi, you can manage Ghana."

Former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) CEO Kojo Bonsu has revealed what motivated him to run for the position of National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer.

Keep in mind that the NDC's National Congress will be held on December 17, 2022.

Many people think Dr. Kwabena Dufour and former President Mahama are obviously in the lead for the NDC flagbearership.

Kojo Bonsu, the previous head of the KMA, thinks he has what it takes to guide the party to success.

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, presented by Kwesi Parker-Wilson, Kojo Bonsu announced that he would run for the NDC flagbearership.

He claims that because he was able to hold the position of mayor of the KMA, he has the CCNA as president.

Using Kumasi as a case study, Kojo Bonsu said that the Ashanti Regional Capital is a representative sample of Ghana and that, if he were to successfully run the city, he would be qualified to lead the entire country.

"Kumasi represents a small portion of Ghana. The reason why the majority of mayors around the globe have become presidents is due to the manner in which they treat and serve the populace.

Even though Kumasi is a tiny city, it is located in Ghana, in a nerve-wracking region, and if you can manage Kumasi, I feel you can manage Ghana as a whole.

"Kumasi is a representative sample of Ghana. Because of the way they treat people and serve the public, most mayors around the globe have become presidents.

He added forcefully, "Even if Kumasi is of lesser scale, it's amid Ghana, and if you're able to run Kumasi, I believe you have the strength to be able to handle Ghana."

However, Kojo Bonsu urged NDC delegates to choose him to be the party's leader.
