Essikado affectionately called British I Sekondi in the Gold Coast is a town in the Western region of Ghana with 12 kilometres from the centre Takoradi and 3 minutes drive from Sekondi.
It is used mainly as a dormitory town for various workers who work in the regional capital and its environs.

In view of this, a surgeon specialist Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah seeking to end the struggle own her and as a promise to Essikado-Ketan constituents has begun a construction of an ultramodern facility with play floor at the Essikado Government Hospital Junction.
British Sekondi not having a modern facility for events has been a major challenge among residents after 16 years being exempted from Dutch Sekondi.
The British Sekondi native, Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah in an exclusive interview with Sekondi-Takoradi based community reporter pledged to serve Essikado community and its adjoining towns within Essikado-Ketan constituency with long befitting projects.
The facility after its completion will purposely serve as pharmacy base, modern event center and stalls for businesses.
