It Was "Childish" For The Majority To Walk Out On Their Budget -Desmond Twumasi Ntow Boldly Declares

A political analyst and a former PNC Parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North Constituency, Desmond Twumasi Ntow, has said that it was "childish" on the part of the NPP MPs to walk out on their budget in Parliament.

Desmond Twumasi Ntow made this statement on 'Good Morning Africa' on Pan Africa television this morning, 29th November 2021, when he condemned the walking out of the majority side of Parliament on Friday, which led to the subsequent rejection of the 2022 budget.

According to Desmond Twumasi Ntow, the reaction of Ghanaians on social media after the rejection of the 2022 budget statement indicates that Ghanaians were happy that it was rejected.

Desmond Twumasi Ntow stated bluntly that there is nothing "sensible" in that budget because the budget was going to bring more hardship on the ordinary Ghanaian. So, from the onset when the Minister read that budget in Parliament, he realized that Ghanaians need to reject it outright.

Desmond Twumasi Ntow indicated that he has been hearing people say that the majority side of Parliament did well by walking out of Parliament, but to him, that was "childish" on their part to walk out on their budget.

"That was so childish of the majority because if you cannot carry your load, don't blame it on the headgear."

Desmond Twumasi Ntow stated that the NPP couldn't even defend their budget, so how can they now blame it on someone who was sitting at the public gallery?

He said that the majority side of Parliament should have defended the 2022 budget and let Ghanaians know why they want to charge us the 1.75% on electronic transactions levy.

"Instead of the NPP MPs to sit down and "jaw-jaw" to let the people understand why they want to charge us, they opted to walk out."

So, the NPP Members of Parliament should blame nobody for the rejection of the 2022 budget but themselves.
