Veteran Actress and the member of parliament for Ketu South constituency, Hon Abla Dzifa Gormashie has shared in an emotional poem how the sea she grew up to love so much betrayed her and rendered her homeless.
This piece of emotional writing follows the tidal waves that washed part of her constituency and other communities in the Volta Region.
In the writing, Abla Dzifa Gormashie narrated that she was born by the sea where her grandparents were born. She grew up to take after their work as fishermen.
She emotionally explained how she was so much in love with the sea, where even the waves of the sea rhymed with her heart beat
She narrated how she became highly skilled in the work on the sea, rowing canoe like a pro.
"I was born by the sea where everyone knew everyone and everyone saw grand father in me more than they saw him in father. I mastered the skills passed on by grandfather. No one could row a canoe better than I" she wrote.
Upon all the beauty of living by the sea, Hon Dzifa Gormashie revealed that the sea betrayed her with a violent Tidal waves that tore her heart into pieces and left her broken and rendered her homeless.
