In the studios of Multimedia radio station, Joy FM, a debate sprung amongst the top host on the morning show as to whether the minority should indeed sacrifice their salary for the government or not. On that issue, Mamavi Owusu Aboagye blasted the Finance Minister for not admitting that he is one of the reasons why Ghana's economy has collapsed into shambles.
"I disagree with all those saying that the Minority must take a pay cut to contribute into the consolidated funds. Only because there was something missing yesterday in the briefing of the finance minister. He talked about the minority in Parliament in delaying and not helping him pass the e-levy.
"He talked about Ukraine, Russia, and COVID. But missing in there was what he did not do and what he did for us to be here. I do not think he is also a contributor to where we are", she explained.
It is for that reason why she called on the minority to consider the pay cut.
