Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh Storms The Spiritual Home Of The New Patriotic Party

The ministry of education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has taken his tour to the Upper West region

It was a spiritual journey he made to Lawra to join Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways and MP of the constituency, Hon. Anthony Karbo who is vying for a second term in Parliament.

He paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Lawra, Naa Karbo III to inform him of his mission in Lawra and to seek his blessings as the custodian of one of the spiritual homes on the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Naa Karbo expressed his appreciation to the government for implementing life changing policies such as Free SHS.

The member of parliament who also doubles as Education Minister took the opportunity to visit the tombs of Naa Abeyifaa Karbo I in Lawra and Simon Diedong Dombo in Duori; two of the staunch founders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). These were moments of deep reflection and contemplation as he prayed for their blessings, guidance and wisdom for us as a party.

They then proceeded to inspect some on-going educational projects in Lawra and neighbouring villages before attending a durbar of the chiefs and people of Birifoh.

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh joined other astute members of the party to encourage the people to retain the NPP to guarantee more development for the people of the constituency as they are already witnessing. He reminded them that for decades of voting for the NDC, their communities still lacked many basic amenities until the NPP came into power.

This is a clear indication that NPP is synonymous with development and so 4 more years for the NPP will surely see more improvement in their lives.
