Afia Pokuah and Manasseh Azure Awuni cause massive stir on social media with these statements.

The current power outage in Ghana has been a great concern to many Ghanaians, especially those in the industrial, media and entertainment sectors.

The dire consequences of Dumsor have negatively affected most indigenous companies by increasing their cost of production.

Today, April 13, 2021 Afia Pokuah and Manasseh Azure Awuni have expressed their frustrations regarding the impact of Dumsor on the economy and lives of ordinary citizens.

According to the Head of Programs at Despite Media Group, Afia Pokuah, the unstable power supply in Ghana is killing her gradually. This is because she finds it difficult to sleep.

“I can't sleep these days. Dumsor is killing me”, she said.

Moreover, the famous investigative reporter and freelance journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, has also reacted to the effect of Dumsor in our health care system.

He stated in his Facebook post that Dumsor is subjecting some patients to death sentence since most of these health facilities do not have any alternative power supply system.

He further urged the government to solve this chronic challenge for the people.

“Not all health facilities have alternative power. Unannounced power cut could be someone's death sentence. Akufo-Addo, act”, he said.

They wrote this on their Facebook pages.
