Mr Bernard Allotey praises Akufo-Addo over the MMDCEs list released.


Bernard Allotey Jacobs, social commentator is pleased with his excellency Nana addo dankwa akufo-addo and has loaded him over the release of the metropolitan municipal and district chief executive nominees list.

Following the release of the MMDCEs, by the minister of local government, decentralization and rural development Mr Dan Botwe, where out of the 260 nominees 38r women and 222 are men. These nominees if approved or help in discharging the mandate of his excellency Nana addo dankwa akufo-addo at the local government level.

Speaking at a press conference concerning the MMDCEs list Mr  Dan Botwe stated that the whole idea is service to the nation. so far as he is concerned and well-meaning Ghanaians are aware that you want to serve the nation so if the opportunity has not been given to you there shouldn’t be any reason for distances, he stated.He added that, if an individual triple truly waltzed save then there is no basis for such individuals to engage in disorderly conduct when they are not given the opportunity.

Mr Allotey Jacobs, also speaking at the Kokroko program on Peace FM, praised his excellency Nana addo dankwa akufo-addo for  not falling for the pressure to quickly release the list of the MMDCEs, he added that the appointment of MMDCEs is more difficult than that of ministerial appointment due to the fact that the DCE or Municipal chief executive or Metro chief executive, you are close to the people.

He said, chiefs, parliamentarians and those belonging to his party were all involved in the nomination process.

He also lauded His excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for engaging all relevant stakeholders in the nomination process, stating that Nana Addo has engaged in participatory democracy in the appointment of the MMDCEs. He said chiefs, parliamentarians and those belonging to his party were all involved in the nomination process.
