The Court is Protecting Jean Mensah from Being Interrogated with Hardcore Evidence – Kevin Taylor

The American based Ghanaian investigative journalist, Kevin Ekow Taylor has accused the Supreme Court of protecting the EC chairperson, Jean Mensah from being interrogated with hardcore evidences, so that she is not incriminated at the supreme court.

Kevin Taylor made this statement on his program ‘With All Due Respect’ after the Supreme struck out some paragraph of the witness statement of Joseph Mettle-Nunoo including paragraph 5 which is a solid point according to him.

According to Kevin Taylor, the paragraph of the witness statement which talks about the video recording in the strong room could have helped the court to determine whether the petitioner’s witnesses were lying about their statements or not. So, the court quashing that paragraph clearly shows that, they don’t want to know the truth about what actually transpired in the strong room.

“why should the Supreme Court strike this out? That is why I’ve told you; the Supreme Court is supposed to make sure that material evidence that incriminate Jean Mensah are never allowed in the court. So, all the five they sanctioned the one they really wanted to stop was the paragraph 5, because the paragraph was really going to end the case.” - He stated

He further revealed that, from the pre-trial to this stage, the Supreme Court judges have one thing to do, and that is to protect Jean Mensah by not allowing any material evidences against her.

He also stated that, we have one evidence that nobody can lie about (video recording), so, what is preventing the Supreme Court from bring that evidence to the clear view of every citizen who voted to see? What is stopping the Supreme Court to say that; we cannot allow this to move?

He concluded by saying that, the Supreme Court knows very well that, if they allow Jean Mensah to by scrutinize with material evidences such as videos and official EC documents, they cannot rule in favour of Akufo Addo.
