The recent circulating news that has undoubtedly raised lots of concerns was when the Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame was finally confronted over his role as the Minister of Justice under the administration of the incumbent government.
Speaking n a recent interview on the most anticipated “Badwam” show on Adom TV, the National Youth Organizer of the largest opposition party, NDC, Opare Addo took the opportunity to express his immense disappointment in the Attorney General aside highlighting that, the Auditor General reluctance to report on the economy of the country has finally led to the introduction of the most anticipated E-Levy in parliament.
In addition to this, the popularly known NDC member, Opare Addo highlighted that, Godfred Dame was undoubtedly sleeping on his job even though Ghanaians expected more upon his appointment by the incumbent President, Nana Akufo Addo.
“After Covid19 2020, two years down the line, one report from the auditor general hadn’t been madetsway to the parliament. After speculations about the funds from IMF and world bank that two different figures were quoted, the only way you as a government can put this matter to rest to reveal the truth of the matter is that, a report will be put out by the Auditor General. Auditor General is sleeping on his job as it stands today because the report two years old has not come before parliament”, Opare Addo emphatically stated.
