Ghanaians Descend On John Kumah For Saying Government Is Going To Create 1 Million Jobs From E-Levy

Ghanaians have heavily descended on the Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah for saying that, government is going to create 1million jobs with e-levy proceeds.

In an interview with TV3 on Saturday, 14th May 2022, the member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency said that, Ghanaians will soon realise the benefits of the e-levy through the introduction of a business support module for the private sector.

He revealed that, one million jobs will be created from the proceeds of E-Levy. "YouStart programme is a 10-billion facility in the next three years that government is aiming at creating One million jobs." he said.

Many Ghanaians have descended on the Deputy Finance Minister for making that statement. When TV3 shared the interview on their official Facebook page on Sunday, 15th May 2022, many Ghanaians angrily reacted to it. Check some below;

Some people were of the view that it is just a lie to decieve Ghanaians.

Others claimed that it will be difficult to achieve that job creation since the E-Levy has been used for collateral.
