Presidential Staffer, Nii Teiko Tagoe has said that the speaker of parliament, Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin and the Minority caucus should not be blamed for what is happening in Ghana, but the Constituency chairmen, Regional Chairmen and some Regional Ministers.
According to him, some of these party bigwigs decided to campaign against their own parliamentary candidates because their preferred aspirants lost the parliamentary primaries causing them to lose those seats.
He also said the party should blame those regional and national executive who overtly and covertly disqualified some parliament aspirants because they want their preferred aspirants to go unopposed.
He said the party members and the executives take so much delight in bringing each other down, turning each other against the other.
He said the end result of that bitter nature of the party members and the executives are the sorry state of the number of parliamentarians they have in Parliament of Ghana today.
"Blame those regional and national executive who overtly and covertly disqualified some parliament aspirants because they want their preferred aspirants to go opposed. Not only are we quick , but we take so much delight in bringing each other down. The brother against brother and pull him down in this government and party is simply unbelievable" part of his statement read.
