See The NPP MP Blaming 8th Parliament Chaos On "Skirt And Blouse" Voting Pattern

The Swearing-In of the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana on 7th January 2021, met with unpleasant incident and bad attitudes from both the New Patriotic Party "NPP" and the National Democratic Congress "NDC" elected Members of Parliament.

The elected Members for the 8th Parliament was to elect a speaker Who could steer the affairs of the chamber but the election ended up in chaos at the floor of Parliament on 7th January.

After the incident the house was able to elect a 7 time Member of Parliament for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency, Hon. Alban Osumanu K. Bagbin as the new speaker of Parliament.

Meanwhile after the just ended Swearing-In of the elected MPs, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency and former deputy minister of education in-charge of Technical And Vocational Education And Training (TVET), Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo blamed the just ended December polls voting pattern "Skirt and Blouse" as the main cause of the incident where some NPP parliamentarians were rejected.

She condemned and apologized unreservedly to the recent unfortunate happenings in Ghana's parliament house during the desolution of the 7th and inauguration of the 8th parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana.

Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo, therefore, admonished her Constituents to reject the NDC whenever they come to them with such propaganda for they are at ways apart with the NPP policy wise.

Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo, made this statement when she held a durbar at Akyem Old Tafo in Abuakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region to expressed her gratitude to the constituents of Abuakwa North for renewing the mandates of both Nana Akufo-Addo and her for another term of office.
