The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a recent post accused the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, of been involved in a clear case of conflict of interest. He alleged that during the incorporation of the National Cathedral in 2019, Godfred Dame who was the then Deputy Attorney General, was also Secretary, hence conflict of interest.
Reacting to that, Godfred Dame has disputed and debunked these claims with inarguable facts.
"The foregoing allegation is utterly false...Quite clearly at the time of the approval by the Public Procurement Authority, on whose governing board I served in my former capacity as Deputy Attorney General, no company known as the National Cathedral of Ghana had been formed for me to be secretary of or have any purported interest in to declare. If he had cared to read or examine the relevant documents well, as he should this plain fact would not have been lost on him."
