Beautiful: General Acheampong’s Daughter Gets Top Job.

The daughter of the late head of state, Gen. I.K Acheampong, who goes by the name Nana Serwaa Acheampong, Esq, has been elected to the position of the National Treasurer of the Ghana Bar Association following an election.

The lawyer, who has also worked with some financial institutions in the country showed appreciation to all who contributed in diverse ways to her attaining such a height.

One can only imagine the joy her late father would have had if he had lived to see this day.

It is common knowledge in Ghana about the circumstances leading to the termination of the life of the former head of state who came to power after overthrowing the Busia government in the early 70’s.

He was among a group of top military officers and heads of state who were lined up and executed in 1979 by the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council after they were accused of corruption and abuse of office.

They say when life throws lemons at you, make lemonade. In other words, turn unfortunate situations into something beneficial. Nana Serwaa obviously did not let the trauma that came with the demise of her father hold her back but rather push her to live her best life.

We can only wish her the best in her endeavors.
