A new letter from President Nana Addo to Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Director General of NLA.

Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw, the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) has been directed by President Akufo-Addo to retire.


The letter from the president, dated 1March, 2021 and signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, states that, “Upon reaching the compulsory retirement age of 60 years on February 2020, the President of the Republic, by letter dated September 3, 2020, under my hand, granted you a one-year contract of service as Director-General of the National Lottery Authority”.

According to the letter, Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw’s one year contract elapsed on 20 February, 2021.

Mr. Ernest Mortey, the Finance Director of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), has been nominated by the presidency to act as the Director-General of NLA, until a substantive Director-General is appointed.
