Ghanaian legal practitioner professor Kwaku Asare popularly known as prof Kweku Azar has bemoaned how an injunction which nearly marred the inauguration of the speaker of parliament has easily be forgotten.
Prof Kweku Azar questioned the status of the injunction issued from Cape Coast high court restraining the member of parliament for Assin North Constituency, Hon Ato Quayson from holding himself out as MP-elect until the final determination of the petition
"The injunction, which travelled by supersonic speed to Accra and nearly marred the inauguration of the 8th Parliament, seems to have died a sudden death" he said
Prof Kweku Azar explaining terms said an injunction is issued when a judge decides that not issuing it will case an irreparable harm but the case of Mr Quayson, it was issued and still ignored
"Were the proponents really worried that his alleged dual-citizenship will be a threat to the country or were they just pursuing a political agenda?" He asked
