About 11 months ago, President Akuffo Addo announced free water and electricity for Ghanaians. He made it free because it was part of the plan to intensified the covid 19 fight. The free water and electricity helped most Ghanaians because, it reduced some financial burden on them.
Meanwhile, Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt Jnr, affirmed that, Ghanaians will pay back free water and electricity next year. He also indicated that, President Akuffo Addo wants to be re-elected that’s why, he has announced free water and electricity. That’s, to brainwashed the citizens for vote.
After, the above mentioned statements by Kwasi Pratt Jnr, some Ghanaians vilified him, when he made those projections. Some said, he was being mischievous and propagandist. Now, the reality has don on us.
However, Lawyer, Oppong Nkrumah has held that, Ghanaians will pay tax for Covid 19 free water to fill economic gap.
