The minister of communication and member of parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Hon Ursula Owusu has angrily blasted Ghanaians and media houses speaking against payment of allowance to first and second spouses of the president and vice president respectively.
Ursula Owusu bemoaned the fact that many people do not get full facts about situations before commenting on them.
"It pays to get the full facts before commenting on any issue. I have read vitriolic comments made on this matter based on falsehood and vile propaganda, with insults heaped in the head of our hapless president" she said.
She also added that some media houses in this country are having negative agenda against the government. She said it's important to take whatever is read on social media with a pinch of salt and stop unnecessary propaganda.
According to her, the payment of allowance to the spouses of all presidents and vice presidents were already in existence and are just formalizing it's existence. And nowhere are they said as cabinet ministers or is being backdated to 2017
"Vile propaganda and barefaced lies have been elevated to facts and people are frothing at the mouth over it. Shame on all those who made abusive, uninformed commentary" she concluded.
