National Women Organiser for the opposition National Democratic Congress Veterinary Doctor Louisa Hannah Bissiw has made an interesting revelation. According her, she stormed the United States of American White House with some Ghanaian poultry farmers to fight to protect local industries.
She made this known while reacting to the Special Prosecutor's current tussle with the Chief executive officer for Labianca tomato paste and foods.
" When I was a Minister, we used many conditions to protect local businesses without necessarily attacking anybody. We were charging 40% on foreign chicken. The Americans were unhappy so they invited me to the White House. I quickly went to America with some Poultry Farmers to fight for their interest. In America, i refused audience to their Deputy Agriculture minister. I sent the Poultry farmers to meet him. I told my farmers to tell the whites that I'm not around so they can't say anything much about the 40% charge. They brought me the feedback and we still continued with the 40% levy" Hannah Bissiw explained in a video attached below.
Isn't this interesting? Ignoring White House an audience? Ei Hannah.
