Mama Dunenyo:Okudzeto constituency confer chieftaincy title on British high commissioner in ceremony

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah continues to exhibit what a true leader is like through his initiatives. The industrious legislator never disappoints and this time round has managed to invite into his constituency the British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Harriet Thompson.

After touring the textiles factory, activities such as free eye screening, free eye surgeries, and the provision of free eyeglasses were made available to the management and staff. It is believed that the factory is not in its best shape and raw materials are imported from Burkina Faso and Togo.

According to Kwame Nkrumah's plans, the Northern region was to farm and supply cotton to the factory. In other to revamp the factory, they have to invest in the raw materials and that can even create more jobs than anticipated.

The beautiful and large factory which used to employ over 3000 employees and which was once the biggest in West Africa needs attention now.

A durbar was held in honor of the Lady and she was given the title Mama Dunenyo I by the chiefs in a colorful ceremony. The member of Parliament is obliged to see to it that his constituency develops and he is bent on doing so.

Okudzeto still inspires hope in many people that, leadership is a tool for change and development. This is what leadership is all about; you just don’t talk but you walk your talk.
