Massive Responses: JM's Eid ul-Adha Message Warms Many Hearts On Social Media

The former President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has warmed the hearts of thousands of Ghanaians on social media with his cathartic 'Eid Mubarak' message on this special holiday, Eid ul-Adha, all over the country.

The comments revealed that Mr. John Dramani Mahama who hails from Bole in the Savannah Region (formerly Northern Region) of the country, was once a Muslim who later converted into a Christian.

Even though he isn't a Muslim, John Mahama affectionately refered to them in an empathetic way as 'My Muslim brothers and sisters'. This has especially warmed many hearts and some wished that he reconvert into a Muslim.

Below is the full message of Former President, John Dramani Mahama on this day:

"Sending my warmest wishes to my Muslim brothers and sisters for a blessed and happy Eid ul-Adha.

The Eid ul-Adha reminds us of the value of obedience, sacrifice and Allah's divine mercy.

As we safely celebrate with family and loved ones, may our prayers be answered and our sacrifices be acceptable to Allah. May we be inspired by the sacrifice to humanity, something that is bigger than ourselves.

Above all, may Allah accept our prayers, and heal our world and bless our homeland Ghana.

Eid Mubarak !

From my wife, Lordina, and I."

The following comments followed the message on social media:

"Thanks JDM for your warm wishes! Ghanaians especially Muslims brothers and sisters have accepted your wishes in good faith."

"May Allah hear your prayers to come save this nation from greedy old people's hands. Happy Eid Mubarak your Excellency."

"God bless you and all your friends and family. But tell Lordina to return the allowances."

"Looking all nice and handsome. Happy Eid ul-Adha to all our Muslim brothers and sisters."

"Our lovely president, we miss you so much. When are you coming back to rescue Ghana from judgement debts? We are sorry for not using our brains but allowed ourselves to be deceived by the promises of heaven and earth."

"Dear JDM, the elephant is behaving like the way you did to us when you were in power. In fact teachers are not happy. However, since you two are the same, you are not an option at all. Eid Mubarak your excellency."

Some people also commented and disbanded the politically oriented type of comments and suggested that Ghana won't grow this way. It is rather expedient for all of us to put our hands on desk and move together us a nation. However they described John Mahama as a great man whose positive impacts would not be forgotten.
