Sam George was interviewed on Onua TV on Onua Maakye with Captain Smart this morning on his effort to get into effect the anti-LGBTQI+ bill into law. Captain Smart threw some questions to him on what made him embark on this journey, to take all this anti-LGBTQI+ bill to himself and whether he has received threatening messages from opposers.
Sam George replied and said; "For whatever I'm doing now, I just don't know but I think it is God. It is God who have empowered me to take this upon myself. I'm even surprised myself the way I have been tackling people on this issue, but I will just give thanks to the almighty God for this and also praying for his protection to finish off this."
"I always stand for my people and God knows that including everyone that is closer to me. On the question on threatening calls and messages, I have received a lot of these threatening calls and messages from these people. But it was at the early stages when I started. These people always call and text me with unknown contact and private numbers, but they can't make me stop."
"If I should stop right now, my people will be disappointed in me and I may loose votes. This is not what I want, I will take this up till I'm convinced enough. I travelled some time ago outside the country and people taught I will be back with a changed mind on this but I proved them wrong."
Captain Smart then questioned him on his security and according to Sam George he has no security guards or any other form of protection. He said; "God is my protector and I know he will protect me throughout this journey till the end. With God everything is possible and he is the only one I look up to."
