The President's Cousin, Gabby Otchere Darko, Is Increasing His Investments Exponentially. DETAILS

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, is a well known public figure in Ghana. From his days as journalist and Managing Editor of The Statesman Newspaper, he passed out from Makola and has been a Lawyer, in his own Law Chamber with his second wife.

His political initiative dubbed, The Danquah Institute, was more of the ideas sharing, brainstorming and propaganda machinery, that would go a long way, to birth massive initiatives such as "Let My Vote Count, etc, and ensure the eventual and almost landslide victory of the NPP and Nana Addo, making him a very influential and yet, seemingly silent member of the NPP currently, something many have accordingly classified him, as the unofficial "Prime Minister" of Ghana, to indicate how powerful he is, even more than cabinet ministers of state.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, who was born in the UK and is a royal in the Kyebi Traditional area, stayed almost all his life in Ghana, but married and gave birth to the two children pictured above, with a European woman, with whom they have since divorced.

Currently married to Lawyer Nana Adjoa Hackman, a lady, she fell inn love with at the Makola Law School, they now have a young under six (6) year old son together. Again, she is the Managing Partner at Gabby's Law Chamber, known as the Africa Legal Associates (ALA). She was also appointed as a member of the Board of Director, of the entire nation's largest cash cow, the GNPC and has been on it since 2017, till date.

Whereas the operations of the firm, are largely kept secret, so far, one contract they worked on most recently is the now defunct "Agyapa" deal, where it is alleged that, his firm was paid $2million, for their role in this project of his cousin's government, as both Nana Addo and Ken Ofori Atta, are both his direct cousins.

His firm ALA, is a full service, corporate law firm established in 2015, with a Pan-African vision, with their lawyers qualified to practice in Ghana and England & Wales, which, combined with their regional knowledge of the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and their membership of the Commonwealth Legal Network, enables them to provide integrated Ghanaian and international legal solutions for their clients," their website says.

Both Gabby and the wife, may well be described as a power couple, as these two (2) powerful citizens of Ghana, are also owners of lion shares in a company called GAB Productions Limited, according to the Register General. GAB Productions Limited publishes The Statesman newspaper and owners of .Asaase Radio 99.5.They are the majority shareholder of at least 60% shares in this fast growing subsidiaries and this where Gabby, may well qualify as the biggest investor in journalism and media, currently in Ghana.

His new, high flying and only media organization boasting of most expensive studious in the country, Asaase Radio, went live in Accra on June 14, 2020 and is operating on the 99.5 frequency and interestingly, has opened subsidiary branches in several parts of Ghana, under different frequency dials and the intent is to be present with its offices, in every region before 2024.

In February of this year, the Board of Directors of Asaase Broadcasting Company Ltd (ABC) had appointed Gabby's cousin, Prince Moses Ofori-Atta as General Manager of Asaase Radio.

Prince Moses was a co-founder of World Radio Paris, a Paris-based English radio station launched in 2003, and editorial director of L’Afrique Sur Internet. Until recently, his skills in management, media and communications also led to a period as the online editor-in-chief for Africa’s leading, multiple-award-winning magazine The Africa Report, where he worked alongside the likes of Patrick Smith and Nicholas Norbrook.

ABC has under its umbrella currently, Asaase Radio Accra (99.5), Asaase Radio Kumasi (98.5) and 123 FM, Tamale (99.7), Asaase Radio 100.1 in Takoradi, Asaase Radio 96.5 in Sunyani, Asaase TV (which will operate from same building with Asaase 99.5 FM in Cantonments Accra of Greater Accra region.) and its growing super-fast and tits worth noting also that, its the first media brand in the country, to be maintaining its brand name, across the length and breadth of Ghana.

Aside of state of the art studios and office complexes fast growing around the country, they also boast of 4x4 cars, and latest and expensive equipment's and may soon, take over the country.
