My Name Didn't Show Up On The List Because I have Dual citizenship - Richard Ahiagba

The Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Richard Ahiagba has disclosed that perhaps his name didn't appear on the deputy ministerial list released by President Akufo Addo because he has dual citizenship.

Richard Ahiagba made this disclosure on the Metro TV's 'Good Morning Ghana' when Randy Abbey (host) asked him why his name wasn't on the ministerial list.

According to him, he has dual citizenship, he is an American citizen and a Ghanaian citizen, and apparently, that is a challenge.

"The process to relinquish my American passport takes a minimum of three-six months.

Given that, one cannot do that within the period that the list came out.

I'm not in the position of holding the presidency if they are going to announce the list. So, I think that might have played a role in the case where my name didn't show up on the list." - he revealed

He added that the processes are currently underway to get that problem sorted out, and maybe when that is done and, president stills need his services, he will be ready to serve anytime.
