NPP Is Flouting The Laws Of Ghana With Impunity, And They Think That They Are Smart - Mintah Akandoh

The Member of Parliament for the Juaboso Constituency, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has indicated that the NPP is flouting the laws of Ghana with impunity and they think they are smarter than anybody in this country.

Mintah Akandoh made this statement on the 'HOT NEWS' on Pan Africa television yesterday, 30th November 2021, when he gave his opinion on the approval of the 2022 budget by Parliament yesterday.

According to Mintah Akandoh, the NPP bulldozed its way into approving the 2022 budget yesterday in Parliament qualifies as one of the dark days in Ghana's democracy.

Mintah Akandoh indicated that the NPP is flouting the laws of this country with impunity, and they think that they are smart, but they are not.

"They always think that they are more human than any other person in this world."

Mintah Akandoh stated that the NPP thinks that what they see or what they understand the law to be is what the law ought to be, and the opinion of others doesn't matter.

"If it's not going their way then it's bad but if it's going their way then it's good."

Mintah Akandoh revealed that it is only the NPP who will tell you that somebody who hasn't gone to the law school like Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who was not even part of the writing of the standing orders of Parliament now understands law more than somebody like Alban Bagbin, who knows the genesis of these standing orders of Parliament and has been in Parliament more than any other person.

"All of the sudden, because Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu belongs to the NPP, he understands the parliamentary proceedings and knows law more than anybody."

He added that the NPP and Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu said that they didn't have the numbers to decide on the 2022 budget because they were 137 members present during the rejection of the budget on Friday, but to them, they can approve it with 137 members.
