I Clearly Do Not Want To Talk About Mahama Right Here - NPP MP On Arrest Of Journalists

It was a heated discussion between two political erudites as both shared a convincing argument on the recent criminalization of speech and arrests of journalists at work. The pivot of the debate was to settle the scores as to whether the recent development is a threat or reality against the much vaunted Ghanaian democratic principles.

According to Honourable Alhassan Suhuyini, the President has demonstrated a clear dishonesty towards Ghanaians as he has constantly ensured the promotion of insensitive attitudes and treatment towards the general public. He was quick to add that from the economic management to security and press freedom, President Akuffo-Addo has failed miserably.

However, his comments were rebutted by Honourable Issah Fuseini, who is the former Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North constituency. In his reactions to the above comment from Honourable Alhassan Suhuyini, Honourable Fuseini was optimistic that Akuffo-Addo has ensured the liberation of press freedom than any government.

He made this disclosure in an interview on TV3's Keypoints show hosted by Dzifa earlier today. Honourable Issah Fuseini registered his resentment over how the opposition National Democratic Congress has politically skewed the operations of the National security forces. He believes the Security agencies are working assiduously to ensure peace and order in the country.

Speaking further, Honourable Issah Fuseini boldly declared that he would rate President Akuffo Addo over former President Mahama in terms of promoting free media work. He enlisted a myriad of initiatives to improve media enhancement and capacities that have been funded by the current government.

He said, "Akuffo-Addo has not changed. He has fought numerous times for liberty and why would he change as a President. He is doing a lot but it appears NDC is against his progress. I clearly do not want to talk about Mahama right here."
