Former President John Dramani Mahama stormed the Sene East to round up a heated rebuttal to what President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo told the people of Kajeji in the Sene East Constituency of the Bono East Region. The claims as countered by the former President was that the his administration showed no interest in fixing a major road that links the Atebubu, and Kwame Danso townships.
President Nana Addo in his recent visit to the same community cut sod for the road project to commence. The contract per the details given by the Roads Minister, Mr. Amoako Atta, will be executed by JUSTMOH Construction Limited.
In responding to these claims, John Mahama disclosed that his administration had already initiated the contract work with the same contractor whom the current government is working with. He mentioned that the contractor had even moved to site at in 2016 but was compelled to stop due to "the needless audit of road contracts we effected."
"They thought we've taken some monies with the project. See, the road was on contract with JUSTMOH. Very funny they claim they have awarded a new contract to get the road construction. That is a lie. We would have completed this road if we were retained but that didn't happen," he exclaimed.
