I Am Disappointed In You; Don't Push Me To The Wall– Ken Agyapong Fumes

The Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has furiously descended on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a fellow member of Parliament for insisting to drag him to the Privileges Committee of Parliament over his alleged threats against a journalist with Multimedia Group, Erastus Asare Donkor of a Kumasi-based Luv FM.

Speaking on his own Oman FM on Friday afternoon [July 16, 2021], the Assin Central legislator used unprintable words against his fellow, the MP for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini for advocating that they him [Ken Agyapong] to Parliament's Privileges Committee.

Mr. Ken Agyapong said that Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini is fond of politicizing issues, adding that he’s ever ready to face the Privileges Committee without fear.

“As for Suhuyini, the least said about him the better. He goes ahead to drag me before the Privileges Committee? He is a foolish MP. So stupid. Left to him, the country would have burnt to ashes. I am so disappointed in him. He is always politicizing issues.”

Ken Agyapong also said that he is disappointed in the NPP because when an NDC MP, Hon. Muntaka alleged that the Supreme Court judges were corrupt, no one dragged him to the Privileges Committee.

“I am also disappointed in NPP because when Muntaka alleged that the Supreme Court judges are corrupt, no one suggested that he should be dragged before the Privileges Committee. You all can go ahead to expel me from Parliament if you so wish. Do you think I rely on what I make as an MP? No one can silence me,” he said.

Ken Agyapong also dared the CEO of the Multimedia Group, Mr. Twum Kwasi, to challenge the corruption allegations he had levelled against some members of the media organization.

"I stand by my words. They are all corrupt. I challenge Kwasi Twum to dare me. I will expose all the information I have gathered about them if they push me to the wall."

Hon. Ken Agyapong also said that they cannot use the media to silence him. He said that he will continue to to speak the truth at all times.

"You cannot use the media to silence me. I will continue to speak the truth. How can a media house be this corrupt at the detriment of it's responsibility to relay the truth?" Ken Agyapong said.
